At the College we are always looking for a reason to celebrate and this year we found 20 of them. On August 5th 1991 Red Sea Diving College opened its doors to student divers, 20 years later RSDC can boast to be one of the largest and most successful Diving Centre’s in Egypt.
The week long celebrations included twenty activities, offers and events to help every one of our guests feel part of the jubilee! Guests could take part in all or some of the events ranging from a treasure hunt with…yes 20 prizes, buoyancy challenges, fish quizzes and even colouring contests for the young ones. Red Sea Diving College’s technical partner PURE also joined in offering free 20 minute try dives on a rebreather or having a dabble at sidemount diving! The festivities culminated in an enormous party on the beach in front of the college with music from the last 2 decades, guests from the college and the diving community of Sharm drank and danced on the sand until the early hours of August 6th.
Guests during the week managed to walk away with a whole host of goodies, as vouchers for third dives, night dives and t—shirts were handed out whilst the Bayliss family walked away with a 5 day diving package, 2 free t-shirts and 2 free third dives. Two lucky divers managed to secure great prizes donated by Christian Heylen of PURE as they each received a free rebreather introductory day worth over €120. A few fortunate guests are now proudly wearing their newly designed t-shirts which were supplied by the innovative Amateur Naturalist. With so many prizes and treats followed by a huge party, divers and staff alike could truly celebrate the success of the College.
