From 2nd – 11th May the Ras Mohamed National Park visited the Taba area to install 10 new moorings. Although it was a busy time for the centres, the project was given priority and boats were provided by Red Sea Water World (and Aquasport Taba).
Extremely popular dive sites like Angels Net and Maxwells have been in desperate need of a mooring. The lack of a safe place to moor had made these sites only possible as a drift dive, with occasional difficult surface conditions these places could prove challenging for inexperieinced divers. Thanks to the efforts of the National Park and the support of Red Sea Water World these dive locations are now available for all to enjoy.
Additional moorings have also been installed at Farun Island and Fjord to accommodate the increase in snorkel boats visiting these 2 picturesque locations.
