PADI Rescue Diver Course Overview

Introduces you to new dive theory, and new SCUBA rescue skills which are learnt and practiced in shallow water before venturing into open water.  You will learn how to respond, assist or even manage emergency scenarios.

What's Involved

As you become a more confident SCUBA diver, you’ll naturally want to expand your skills and knowledge to enhance both your safety and the safety of others. The PADI Rescue Diver Course is an excellent way to achieve this, offering a deeper understanding of rescue techniques and problem prevention in various diving situations. This course is not only challenging but also highly rewarding, equipping you with vital skills that will make you a more prepared and capable diver.

The PADI Rescue Diver Course focuses on improving your ability to respond to emergencies, both for yourself and for fellow divers. Whether it’s managing stress, recognizing potential issues, or executing underwater rescues, the course covers a wide range of scenarios. If you’re looking to learn rescue dive skills in the Red Sea, the Red Sea Diving College highly recommends this course. The Red Sea, with its clear waters and varied dive sites, provides the perfect environment for mastering these essential skills.

One of the best places to take the PADI Rescue Diver Course is in Sharm El Sheikh, a renowned diving destination known for its beautiful reefs and marine life. The course starts in shallow waters, where you’ll practice rescue drills on our house reef. These controlled settings make it easy to focus on mastering the techniques before moving on to more advanced scenarios in open water. As you continue, you’ll participate in exercises that involve managing emergency situations and assisting divers in distress. Practicing in the Red Sea is particularly rewarding, as it gives you a chance to learn in real-world conditions that are unique to this stunning location.

Taking the PADI Rescue Diver Course also prepares you to deal with potential problems before they arise. By learning to recognize and prevent issues, you’ll become a more vigilant and proactive diver, increasing both your safety and your confidence underwater. The skills you acquire during this course are invaluable not only for emergency situations but also for improving your overall diving experience. Being able to manage stress, navigate complex rescue scenarios, and help others in need brings a new level of confidence and enjoyment to your dives.

In addition to the PADI Rescue Diver Course, the Red Sea Diving College offers a range of PADI Advanced Level Courses that allow you to continue your diving education. These courses, including specialties like deep diving, wreck diving, and night diving, are designed to challenge you and improve your skills further. Completing these advanced courses will enhance your abilities and expand the types of dives you can safely enjoy. The combination of PADI Advanced Level Courses and the Rescue Diver training will make you a more well-rounded diver, ready to explore more challenging environments with confidence.

Overall, the PADI Rescue Diver Course is a must for any diver looking to take their skills to the next level. By choosing to learn rescue dive skills in the Red Sea, you’ll not only enjoy the beauty of Sharm El Sheikh but also gain the knowledge and abilities to handle any situation that arises underwater. This course will transform your diving experience, giving you the confidence and competence to help others and prevent problems before they occur.

I had an amazing experience completing my PADI Open Water course with Nass. He was incredibly professional, patient and friendly. He always took the time to explain everything properly. As a beginner, it was really important for me to feel safe and comfortable underwater and Nass did an amazing job making me feel confident throughout the whole course. He created a relaxed and fun atmosphere while still making sure we learned everything we needed to know. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish. See you next time 🤿🌊

Padi Open water diving with Ahmed Gamal Amazing experience! We came for the open water diving license and were given Ahmed Gamal as an instructor and it couldn’t have been better. He helped me through difficulties at the start and made it a very enjoyable and manageable experience. I couldn’t recommend both the diving school and Ahmed more and I will be back when next in Sharm el Sheikh.

Where do I begin again with Red Sea Diving College? Following on from my review in February this year, where I said I was going to get certified with the college well.. I did! And today marks the first day of me being PADI Certified. As mentioned in my previous review, I dived with Alex and Hooch, this time I was accompanied by Ahmed Rostom, and he was absolutely exceptional, patient, perfect explanations, and not to mention how fun he makes his dives. Again the whole team were just amazing, I was lucky enough to briefly catch-up with Hooch, and he remembered me liked it was yesterday, as did most of the college which was a really warm and relaxing feeling going into the course, as diving can be scary! This really is a dream come true, and we will transition the spotlight onto my instructor Rostom for a few sentences. I performed most of the skills necessary to pass my PADI Open Water with a lot of ease, but there were stages such as, fully removing my mask, and removing my mask and swimming with it which definitely heightened my anxiety at times. Rostom was patient, and allowed me to do as many retakes, to the point where I could do it with ease at 6m depths! Additionally, Rostom took it upon himself to notice my true passion for sea life and the biodiversity within the ocean, and made sure to make our dives as centred to the reef as he could for me, with interactions with clownfish, being lucky enough to see a ginormous sting ray, a blue spotted ray, and other than the clownfish stealing the show, a personal favourite was a moray eel which we saw on our second day! (Unfortunately I couldn’t take my GoPro as Ahmed wanted me to concentrated, BOO!!) But thanks again team, you’re all fantastic, and I look forward to coming back to complete my PADI Advanced diving course, but until then! Mitch.
